Terms of Use

1. What this service is

gantts.app is a free Gantt chart maker that runs entirely in your web browser. There are no accounts, no subscriptions and no server-side storage of your projects. By using the site you agree to these terms.

2. Using the tool

You may use gantts.app for personal, educational and commercial projects at no cost. You do not need a licence or permission to use charts you create, and you do not need to credit us.

3. Your content is yours

We claim no ownership over the projects, task names, schedules or exported files you produce. Because your data never reaches our servers, we could not access, use or license it even if we wanted to.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Use the site for unlawful purposes, or to infringe anyone's rights
• Attempt to disrupt, overload or interfere with the site or its hosting
• Present the tool as your own product, or resell access to it

5. Your data and backups

Projects are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or switching device or browser will remove them. We hold no copy and cannot recover lost work. If a project matters, export a .gantts file and keep your own backup. See the privacy policy for details on what is and isn't collected.

6. Availability

The site is offered free of charge and without any uptime guarantee. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, without notice. Because the app runs locally and installs as a PWA, it will often keep working offline even if the site is unreachable.

7. Third-party components

Exports rely on open-source libraries loaded from a public CDN, and each remains under its own licence. The gantts.app source code is published on GitHub under the MIT licence, which governs reuse of the code itself.

8. Templates and downloads

Template files offered on this site — Excel, PowerPoint and CSV — are free to download, edit and use in your own projects, commercial ones included. They are provided as starting points; you are responsible for checking that any dates, phases or figures suit your actual project.

9. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any schedule or critical-path calculation is fit for a particular purpose. Project scheduling decisions remain yours.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or missed deadlines arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the project evolves. The "last updated" date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
