What’s new
gantts.app keeps getting better. Here’s what we’ve shipped recently, every update free, no sign up, and running entirely in your browser. We build a lot of this straight from user suggestions.
August 2026: Planning & analytics toolkit
Eight additions to the editor, aimed at planning intelligence rather than just drawing bars:
- Deadlines & slip alerts, set a target date per task; the bar turns red when the schedule blows past it.
- Tags & filtering, label tasks and filter the whole plan by name, owner or tag.
- Colour by owner, tag or phase, recolour the bars, with a legend, to read the plan at a glance.
- Status (RAG), an automatic On-track / Behind / At-risk column.
- Key-date markers, labelled vertical lines for launches, gates and quarter ends.
- Shift the whole plan, move every task at once to start on a new date.
- Year zoom, a year-scale timeline for multi-quarter programmes.
- Embeddable charts, a read-only iframe snippet to drop a live chart into any web page.
August 2026: A bigger template library
Five new ready-made plans, each fully translated into all six languages: Study Plan, Moving House Timeline, Kitchen Remodel Timeline, Crowdfunding Campaign Plan and Performance Review Cycle, bringing the library to over 100 free templates.
The essentials: always in, always free
Everything the editor is built on, with no account and no paywall: task dependencies (finish-to-start and three more), an auto-calculated critical path, an earned-value S-curve, baselines and variance tracking, a working calendar with weekends and holidays, workload and over-allocation, present mode, a command palette, full keyboard control, dark mode, and export to PDF, PNG, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, MS Project and Mermaid, in six languages.
